Abstract
AIMS:
This study describes the use of the Masquelet technique to treat segmental tibial bone loss in 12 patients.
CONCLUSION:
The Masquelet technique was relatively ineffective in achieving union in this series, and was associated with a high rate of infection. Cite this article: Bone Joint J 2017;99-B:680-5.
Resumen
OBJETIVOS:
Este estudio describe el uso de la técnica Masquelet para tratar la pérdida segmentaria de hueso tibial en 12 pacientes.
CONCLUSIÓN:
La técnica de Masquelet fue relativamente ineficaz para lograr la unión en esta serie, y se asoció con una alta tasa de infección. Citar este artículo: Bone Joint J 2017; 99-B: 680-5.
